The PF Staff

The PF Counselling Service is run by a small but dedicated team of four staff.

Alison Hampton
Director
Alison Hampton

Alison became Director of the PF in 2006, having been one of our voluntary counsellors since 2000.  She worked in NHSScotland on management, leadership and organisation development issues for over thirteen years.A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Alison holds a degree in Business & Management, a Masters in Human Resource Management, and is qualified to British Psychological Society Level B in psychological profiling. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, is a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and has thirteen years experience as a voluntary counsellor. Alison divides her time between Edinburgh, where she lives with her partner, and the west coast where she has a small holiday cottage business, 3 grown-up children and 4 grandchildren.
Anja Pogačnik
Operations Manager
Anja Pogacnik

Anja joins the PF team in spring of 2021 as our new Operations Manager. She has previously hopped between the world of research and sustainability, while being close to the world of counselling through her husband, who is a counsellor. Originally from Slovenia, Anja has called Edinburgh her home since 2013, although she still misses the Mediterranean summers and snowy Alpine winters of Slovenia. When not behind her desk, Anja likes to explore the hidden corners of Scotland, read copious amounts of books, and have deep conversations over endless cups of tea.
Klaudia Franusiak 
Administrator
Klaudia joined the PF as Administrator in April 2019.  Previously, she worked with children and young people in various roles in education and social services for over ten years. She holds teaching qualifications, a BA English & Film, and she is currently studying a Masters in Mental Health at the University of Edinburgh. In her spare time, Klaudia likes camping, cycling and yoga. In her current role as Administrator at the PF, Klaudia enjoys having a positive impact on people’s lives by delivering great service and being part of a truly dedicated team.
Carol Larkins
Part-Time Administrator
Carol joined PF in June 2017.  She has a strong admin and customer service background, having spent the past six years with Arran Aromatics flagship store on George Street – most recently as Store Business Manager.  Carol also has experience as a Reception and Administration Volunteer with Edinburgh’s Volunteer Centre, and has held a number of other interesting posts including ten years working for the Royal Household in London, in addition to bringing up her 3 (now grown up) children.
