The PF Staff

The PF Counselling Service is run by a small but dedicated team of four staff.

Alison Hampton

Alison Hampton

Alison became Director of the PF in 2006, having been one of our voluntary counsellors since 2000.  She worked in NHSScotland on management, leadership and organisation development issues for over thirteen years.A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Alison holds a degree in Business & Management, a Masters in Human Resource Management, and is qualified to British Psychological Society Level B in psychological profiling. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, is a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and has thirteen years experience as a voluntary counsellor. Alison divides her time between Edinburgh, where she lives with her partner, and the west coast where she has a small holiday cottage business, 3 grown-up children and 4 grandchildren.
Aileen Murray

Aileen Murray

Aileen joined the PF in October 2010, after being introduced to us by a friend who was a volunteer receptionist here at the time. Aileen was also studying the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills course so had an interest in the ‘world of counselling’.  Prior to joining the PF Aileen was the Fundraising Administration Manager for the South East of Scotland with Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). She was with CHAS for nine years, and before that worked for 12 years with bmi Airlines at Edinburgh Airport.
Adam Huntley

Adam joined the PF as Administrator in September 2015. He graduated in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh in 2014, and worked at Sony technical support before joining the office team.
Carol Larkins
Part-Time Administrator
Carol joined PF in June 2017.  She has a strong admin and customer service background, having spent the past six years with Arran Aromatics flagship store on George Street – most recently as Store Business Manager.  Carol also has experience as a Reception and Administration Volunteer with Edinburgh’s Volunteer Centre, and has held a number of other interesting posts including ten years working for the Royal Household in London, in addition to bringing up her 3 (now grown up) children.
Emma Norman
Part-Time Administrator

Emma joined the staff team as a Part-Time Administrator in December 2018 after working in customer service and business management. Emma also volunteers as a counsellor at the PF.
