The PF Counselling Service offers an opportunity for counsellors to provide counselling on a voluntary basis. Our current requirement is for more experienced counsellors who are qualified to diploma level and working towards BACP, COSCA or UKCP accreditation. However we would consider trainees who are nearing the end of their diploma or psychotherapy training who already have some supervised counselling experience.

Volunteer counsellors are required to work with at least two clients per week during a six months probationary period before being offered a contract for one year. In return you would receive one hour of individual supervision plus a two hour session of group supervision per month as well as being offered a minimum of two training days per year without charge. Our aim is to develop a centre of excellence for the counselling of adults in Edinburgh.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer counsellor at the PF, please send a copy of your CV offering the name of two referees who are familiar with your counselling work (e.g. supervisor, tutor) to The Director. If you have any questions you would like to ask then please contact the Director by phone or email - alison@pfcounselling.org.uk
